Fishing Report For The Grand Strand week of June 23th
**Fishing Report for the Myrtle Beach Area**
**Date Range:** June 23rd - June 29th
**Weather Conditions:**
Anglers experienced a good week of weather here on the Grand Strand. The weather was perfect this week, with light winds and few storm systems around. Temperatures ranged from highs in the mid-80s to low 90s, with nighttime lows in the mid-70s. Overall, it was a great week of weather
**Water Conditions:**
Throughout the week, water temperatures remained relatively stable around 81 degrees Fahrenheit. Water clarity was good this week. Anglers should anticipate continued fluctuations in water clarity, especially following periods of precipitation and strong winds.
Inshore Fishing:
The inshore bite continues to be fantastic here in Myrtle Beach. Flounder, reds, and trout are still thick in all the popular areas. We had a great week of fishing here in Cherry Grove; some BIG flounder came over the rails this week, several over 20 inches (which were released). Still having good success with the Vudu shrimp, although we have switched to a different color, Cajun pepper. The sheepshead are around; look for deep water structure, and you should have some success with fiddler crabs. Our friend Chris Little with DCO has been having great success down there in Murrells Inlet. Check out Chris in his latest video to see what is going on down there in Murrells Inlet.

**Nearshore Fishing:** There have been reports of a good number of Spanish and King mackerel hanging around the artificial reefs.
Fish of the week: This Flounder was just shy of 24” what an absolute stud and Kayln’s PB. It was released and swam off for someone else to catch and hopefully release. We need to keep those big breeding females in our stock to continue to have great years like this.
