FISHING REPORT FOR THE GRAND STRAND WEEK OF JUNE 9th

Fishing Report for the Myrtle Beach Area

Date Range: June 9th-June 15th

Weather Conditions: Anglers experienced a good week of weather here on the Grand Strand. The weather was perfect this week, with light winds and few storm systems around. Temperatures stayed consistent, with highs in the 80s/low 90s. Summer is really starting to set in here on the Grand Strand.

Water Conditions: Throughout the week, water temperatures remained relatively stable around 78 degrees Fahrenheit. Water clarity was good this week. Anglers should anticipate continued fluctuations in water clarity, especially following periods of precipitation and strong winds.

Inshore Fishing: First off I apologize for the lack of fishing reports, life has been crazy here but we have some good reports to share with y’all. The inshore bite has still been great here on the grand strand. We are seeing a lot of bait around and the artificial bite has slowed down a bit. It is a great time to grab the cast net and get some finger mullet or shrimp and use those as live bait in the summer is hard to beat. We were able to get some red fish this week drifting live mullet and also fiddler crabs in deep holes. Sheepshead are definitely around, key in on deep structure with fiddler crabs. Flounder are still hanging around but you had to get through the shorts to find any keepers.

I know our friend Chris with Dead Calm Outdoors has been having good success on the fish down there in Murrells Inlet. Check out his latest video!

**Nearshore Fishing:** Unfortunately no report for this week for nearshore fishing.

Fish of the week: This 19in red fish was caught on a fiddler crab in a deep hole as the tide was dropping! If you want to share your catch of the week find us on instagram or email us at coastalcaraolinaliving20@gmail.com
